Bayardo Loredo Cardenas
Bayardo was born in La Paz, Bolivia, and currently lives in Cochabamba. He is a puppeteer and visual artist, and also part of the puppet ensemble Títeres Elwaky, with which he has participated in both national and international festivals.
His artistic path took him to Buenos Aires, where he trained in puppets and objects at the Unsam school, physical theatre at the Cabuia School, and also took workshops in drawing, painting, and the construction of puppets, masks, and scenery.
Since 2017, Bayardo has been the official illustrator of the international puppet festival “Festititeres”, which takes place in Cochabamba.
A Family Story is one of his first experiences illustrating a children’s book, and his first book for Kids' Books Bolivia.
